Nesting season, the predatory bird comic and KrookedKolorado.
It’s been an eventful couple of weeks.
Amongst the usual murderous violence on the planet 250 gulls were systematically shotgunned for illegally squatting at an abandoned Saturn dealership in Michigan.
Meanwhile, a postal route in northeast Scotland was suspended due to terrifying aerial attacks by hyper-territorial herring gulls viciously swooping at any lifeform that might be concealing doritos, sandwich meat or any other nutritious morsel. The young, vulnerable and feathered are constantly hungry this time of year.
In less violent-protection-of-progeny-and-territory news The Predatory Bird has been working with gifted British comic artist Jon Horner on a semi-realistic story. The pictures and words will hopefully describe the path of a kid obsessed with skateboarding and his pursuit of a career therein. With luck we’ll be taking a look at some of the characters he meets along the way, the hurdles and chasms life presents, and we’ll be unable to stop ourselves from occasionally drawing some comparisons and connections between these skateboarding humans and their feathered counterparts dwelling above.
In the meantime the Krooked team is in Colorado with guest riders Silas Baxter-Neal and I/me.
Thanks Krooked. More on that next week during the Zero, Moose is Loose, Canada tour.

I discovered this skate comic like a day before I read about yours. http://plasticwalrus.blogspot.com/ the more comics the better.
Aww man, I had a similar idea for a comic along those lines. I look forward to reading yours.
If there's one thing I'm certain of it's that there's room in this world for more than 1 comic.
